How To Get The Best Results

It's very important to start with a good image!

In order for our artists to produce the best possible results, please follow these important tips.

If you have any questions, you can Contact Us.
  • Natural Light: Natural light is best. Avoid using any filters.
  • Colors: We use the colors from your photo. To make sure we pull the right colors, make sure there are no artificial colors being reflected or shown on your pet that distort the true color of the fur.
  • Avoid Shadows
  • Head and Neck Visible: Sometimes the "cutest" picture doesn't make for the best portrait. Images of your pet laying down or one where your pet is partially covered (with blanket, pillow, chew toy, etc.) do not make for good images.
  • Eye level: Make sure your pet is at eye level when you take a picture. The best portraits come from images taken straight on with the face, shoulders, and neck clearly visible.

Note: We are not able to artificially add elements to your illustration. Your illustration will be made from the same perspective as the image you provide and include any collars, harnesses, ribbons, clothes, etc. that might be present.
